Periodically we get questions about our group, so here's a brief description of our vision and who we are. If you want to know more, visit our group site.

Amicizia Cristiana ("Christian Friendship")
Our Vision for the 21st Century
An advanced Catholic Church community in the U.S. with renewed enthusiasm for the study of the Catholic faith, constructive dialogue with diverse communities, and peaceful witness of our faith lives.
Who we are
We are a growing group of Roman Catholics, loyal to the Holy See, who seek to revive activities of the original Amicizia Cristiana (started by Fr. Nikolaus von Diessbach, SJ and carried on by Fr. Bruno Lanteri, OMV in late 18th/early 19th century Europe) in the United States and beyond.
We build fellowship with other Catholics (laity, clergy and religious) who exhibit a fervent desire to attain a deeper understanding of the teachings of the Church in their daily lives and rekindle the activity of Christian friendships. We have no other bond between us than Christian friendship. Everything we do is for love of God and neighbor.
Amicizia Cristiana, or the Christian Friendship, was founded in June 2007 by a small group of Roman Catholic young adults in Boston in an effort to revive the original movement.
Some of the things we do
Much of what we do on this blog includes reviewing potentially good Catholic reading, from popular books to medieval writings to modern theological reflections. Anything that contributes to the advancement of understanding our Catholic roots, teaching, and faith lives will be reviewed. Following the spirit of Nikolaus von Diessbach, SJ, we keep current on events around the world and keep our AC community members informed and thinking about them. We also have a love of lay formation, and find opportunities to enrich our faithful's understanding of the sacraments, our Catholic traditions, scripture, and social teaching, through workshops, retreats, and informal gatherings. Finally, we build our friendship networks, online and offline, inviting members to join us at Mass, adoration, and food/fellowship as the occasion arises.
