Cardinal Schönborn delivers cultural discourse on Christianity

On Feb. 3, Cardinal Sconborn delivered a lecture at Catholic University of America entitled: "Christianity: Alien presence or foundation of the West?" He discussed the tension that exists in the modern world between  modern-day searches for instant gratification and the call of Christianity to live out the gospel. Not only was the history of Christian influence on culture presented, but examples of long-term damage to society due to the increased schism between faith and praxis were also highlighted.
